It’s the season of giving and if you’re looking for a group to give to, consider our charitable partner Helping Paws. They’re a local group based in Hopkins, MN that trains service dogs for individuals with physical disabilities and veterans and first responders with PTSD. Their mission is to further people’s independence and quality of life through the use of Assistance Dogs. Davanni’s has partnered with Helping Paws for more than five years with our own Helping Paws Day where you’ve helped us raise more than $15,000 for Helping Paws and through other efforts. We’ve seen over those years the impact the Helping Paws organization has made for people and how they’ve changed their lives. Did you know this about Helping Paws…

  • They do not charge people to receive their dogs.
  • They cover costs for emergency veterinary bills.
  • Each dog is valued at about $30,000 upon graduation.
  • They provide follow up services for the entire life of the dog.

Wow! So, here’s how you can help, you can donate directly anytime through Helping Paws’ website. Or if you’re looking for groups to donate to on Give to the Max Day 2018, consider Helping Paws. Here’s their link for more information on Helping Paws & Give to the Max Day:

This year’s Give to the Max Day helps support Helping Paws Smile Litter. The Smile Litter is seven Golden Retriever puppies who are four months old and have jumped full speed ahead into their training. You can even go to their training center to meet the Smile Litter! There will be a couple of the puppies at each of our open house time slots here.
